As those who know me well know that I haven't read much since about the 6th grade. The only thing that snatched me out of that I-hate-to-read mind set was the Twilight Series/Saga or whatever. So OF COURSE, along with the thousands of other crazed lunatics, I had to have the book at midnight last Friday. I've neglected my home and family long enough to finish it and it was wonderful. But the book, be it wonderful, is NOT what this post is about. It's rather about what I "overheard" while waiting in line to purchase it. :)
While we were sitting in line at Wal-mart (after seeing the madness at Barnes and Noble) I just happened to over hear a conversation behind me. A woman, way cute by the way, was spilling out a deep dark secret to her friends. I attuned my newly acquired vampire listening skills to them. She mentioned that a while back she had wondered what it would be like to kiss Edward. Isn't that something we ALL wonder? Being braver than most women would be about divulging their secret fantasies, she made a small request of her husband. She asked him to suck on some ice and lay one on her. Apparently it was pretty fantastic.
If I only knew where this lady lived... I'd probably pick up a bag of sonic ice and deliver it to her doorstep.

Wow!! Someone needs to tell "that girl" that the characters aren't real!!! :) I had a great time, too! I haven't finished it yet...I am trying to pace myself. BUT I am halfway through and it has not dissapointed!!!
That is hilarious! I'm only about 120 pages in so far. I've heard online that there a lot of disappointed fans. I guess you can't please everyone all of the time.
Okay, that kills me! I love these books, too! It cracks me up to see how obsessed all these cute, NORMAL, married women are with this series! And hey, I'm one of 'em!
Hummmmm I have heard that sinerio before... Do I maybe know "that woman". I'm sure, the night was full of adventures, and memories. How could it not, with all you crazy Twilight Mommies!!!
Wow... That is intense! "That woman" probably knows that Edward isn't really real, but I...I mean, "that woman" just wanted to know what it could be like, right?
BTW, Sonic Ice is goooooooood! Maybe we could google "that woman"...OR you could just bring her a cherry coke with lots of ice. I mean, I bet "that woman" likes cherry coke...I'm just guessing though!
Oh, my gosh, Cass! I was laughing hysterically! Hys-terically! So hard, in fact, that boy Sam made me tell him the whole story. I have to admit that I'm contemplating asking him how he would feel about sucking on a little ice. You know. Just to see. ;O)
Do it, Sam...!
I overheard the same story and had to share it with a few friends. One thought she would put her husband in the freezer to get the full "Edward" effect. My other friend's husband was more than happy to eat a whole cup of ice and do all sorts of vampire tricks to her. She was a little freaked out.
Tammy...we need to find "that girl" & tell her to find a big freezer for her husband to hang out in!
Oh my gosh...I love it and I MUST try it. Ooooo I feel all steamy. You are the best Cass...and I am SO proud of you for reading.
I heard of a "Woman" that has read the series 30 + times? Could it be the same person? Noooooooo....with all that reading, she may have forgotten that she even has a husband!
Hey Cassie! It's good to hear from you!
We had no idea about all this craziness that Tim was going through. We're glad to hear he's healing well. Sounds like you guys had a miracle happen.
Alyssa is so cute and LITTLE!! She's like a little doll!
So I know you have a child and a husband to take care of but could you please update your dang blog!! Geeez!
