I did not know that tag was played in the blogger world. You learn something new every day don't you? Well, here it goes. Eight things that you may or may not know about Cassie.
1. I am deathly terrified of worms. So much so that I will not go outside after it rains. If I see one on the sidewalk in front of me I walk in the street or literally jump over it. This one time, my senior year of high school, it rained. On this particularly rainy day all of the worms on the block decided to come and play on my street. When I looked outside and saw all of them, waiting to attack me when I came out, I went back in my house and woke my dad up to drive me to school. Here's the kicker. We lived 10 houses away from the high school. Do you all want to know why my yard looks the way it does? WORMS! I am afraid to pull weeds because of what may be attached to the end of the root! (But, be proud. I have been doing yard work for the last couple weeks. It about kills me, but I'm starting to do it.)
2. I LOVE Pepsi! I would call me an addict, actually. The deciding factor on where I go to lunch is whether they have Coke or Pepsi. I tend to frequent Taco Bell, Sconecutter, Arby's, Arctic Circle and Subway for that reason. I have been known to go to Burger King for their french fries, then either go to Maverick for my Pepsi, or hit another drive up at one of the previously mentioned establishments. Maverick, by the way, has the best fountain beverages.
3. I can not eat yogurt, pudding, cream cheese or anything else with that thick, coats your throat texture. I gag if I try.
4. I have been playing the piano for over two decades. I love to play in front of people, but still get nervous when I perform. It makes me more nervous to play in front of 1 or 2 people than it does to play in front of 200.
5. While I am constantly telling my husband that his Xbox is a waste of time and money, I have been known to get it out and play Guitar Hero or Tetris while Alyssa is taking her nap. I would like to call myself the Tetris Champion.
6. I don't believe in seeing any of the following numbers on a clock twice in one day: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. I'm ok with staying up until one in the morning. But if you call my house before 8:30 or 9:00 in the morning I'll most likely still be in bed. And we have trained Miss Alyss to do the same. I purposely make all our doctor appointments for the afternoon just so I don't have to set an alarm in the morning and get my can out of bed.
7. I can't believe that I'm actually about to admit to this to some of you, but here it goes. In 7th grade at girls camp, I out belched the young men's president in a contest around the camp fire. Not very lady like, I know. I'm a changed woman, I try to have manners now. It certainly isn't something I hope to be reading on Alyssa's blog in 20 years. But don't the scriptures tell us not to hide our talents?
8. I'm a control freak, but I'm not. I don't necessarily have to make all the decisions, but if there is a "plan", it can not be changed without me having some kind of small mental breakdown or anxiety attack. Things can be left out of the "plan", but no additions. It throws me off. When something gets added to my "plan" I tend to shut down and not do anything at all. This makes me somewhat not dependable. However, I don't always have to have a "plan." But I have to know that there is no "plan" and then don't try to make one. When I look at the great plan of my life and all the changes and additions and subtractions.....I think I'll go to bed.

So glad to see your eight things! how fun to learn more about you... I did know the pepsi thing, but not the belching thing... too funny!
hmmm... it is 8am, you are probably still snoozing... lucky you!
You're too funny! We really are so alike that it's somewhat scary, especially 3 & 8. Except, mine extends to all things mushy. I can't do bananas, any cooked fruit or jello. Barf!
Sam, I just have to say that when I read Cassie's #3, I thought, "wow, that sounds like Sam!".... funny!
Leslie, yes I was still snoozin' away at 8 this morning, now I'm totally embarassed about #7!!! Oh well, my dirty little secret is out!
Too cute. Another reason why I love you oh so much! (I didn't need any more reasons...just so you know!) P.S. I saw you the other day on my way to Sam's house...you were with the little one throwing out a diaper or something, I didn't have time to yell at you or to stop. Sad. Soon woman!
I think I pretty much knew all of these things about you! Why does that not surprise me about the burping contest????
