Did you poop? 8 Things I Want to Do Before I Die Take Lys to Disney Land Acquire one more baby. Go on some exotic vacation. Clean my scrapbook room. Finish our basement. Improve upon some relations. Finish Alyssa's quilt. Have enough $$$ to pay someone to take care of my yard. :) 8 Things I've Learned or Remembered This Past Year You can live with a lot less than you think you can. This too shall pass. There are some things you just can't do anything about. Either dwell on it and be miserable, or get over it. Kids grow up WAY too fast. There are a lot of good, selfless people in the world. You can shove a lot of dirty dishes in a laundry basket, if the oven is too full. Two year olds are a lot smarter than they're given credit for. July 22nd

Kidney transplant day. We have a donor. A FREAKING AWESOME donor. So much love. So much gratitude. So much more to come when I can make sense of the thoughts and feelings I'm trying to encompass in my little head. Thank you.

A Thirst for Knowledge

This was fun. This was a lot of fun. I learned a lot and realized I have a lot to learn. And I WANT to learn. I haven't wanted to learn something for a long time. This is good for me. I love it. And it's fun.

There are No Words

She touched a worm today. And thinks they're cute. No, I did NOT witness this first hand. I probably would have had a heart attack. I DEFINITELY would NOT have allowed it. Cringe, all I can do is cringe. And shiver, the icky shivers than run up your spine when you absolutely detest something. Cringe, shiver, cringe, shiver... wash her hands, tell her worms are yucky.

It Happened...

... yesterday, it happened. I've not been looking forward to this day. In fact I've been quite pleased that we've gone 2 1/2 years WITHOUT this happening. Let's face it. My world, as I know it, will never be the same. No more hiding things. No more hiding me. No more hiding her. No more out of sight, out of mind. It's all over. All because not only can Alyssa finally reach the door knob, but she can turn it. Which means she can open doors. Her door. The bathroom door. The scrapbook room door. The basement door. All of them. I'm toast.
