Yet another bit of dialog that won't be forgotten.
As we were on our way to my aunt's house for my grandparent's birthday gathering this evening (Happy Birthday Grandma and Grandpa! That's right, they share) Alyssa decides she wants some ice cream. Not just any ice cream. An ice cream cone from the Arctic Circle. The conversation went as follows:
Alyssa: Mommy, I want an ice cream cone.
Me: Sweetie, it's Sunday, we don't buy ice cream cones on Sunday. But maybe we'll have some at the party, is that ok?
Alyssa: NO! I want it in a cone! Pleeeeease!!!!
Me: I know you love ice cream cones Lys, but Heavenly Father and Jesus don't want us to go the store on Sunday. We'll have some when we get home.
Insert a moment or two of silence while Alyssa appears to be thinking this one over.
Alyssa: Mommy? Jesus said yes.

That is hilarious! That girl is so stinkin smart! I love it!
Sooo sweet. I love that!!!
So cute...! That reminded me of a funny story. When we were teaching my oldest girl about the Holy Ghost, we told her that He didn't speak to your ears, he spoke inside your heart. After a prayer she said, "Wait!...I heard him...he said, It's dark in here!" I guess it would be dark inside the heart. lol
Matt tried that a couple weeks ago! But seriously, I love coming and reading about Alyssa's adventures! Wait until she's 13!
So very classic Alyssa...I wonder where she gets it from? Did you know that her daddy can walk on the water just like Jesus? Love having conversations with that little nugett...
ROFL!!!! How can you resist? I prolly would have gotten one. Hopefully you were stronger than I would have been.
I need an update on your family, Cas. It's been way too long since this last cute post :)
