My Little Problem Solver

Another fine "picture this" moment brought to you by Alyssa. The scene. Alyssa sitting comfortably on my bed, eating some scrambled eggs with "dip" on them. "Dip" being ketchup. I'm buzzing about the house trying to get it picked up before Flavio calls to tell me someone wants to drop in and look at the house, which happens every time my house is a mess. :) I love this house selling game. I peek in my room to make sure little Lyssa-Bug is eating her breakfast. She is. Upon exiting the room, I notice a used looking diaper sitting next to the bed. Hmm... where did THAT come from? After further investigation I notice that Alyssa is no longer wearing a diaper. Hmm... The dialog. Me: Alyssa, did you take off your diaper? Alyssa: Ya Me: Why? Alyssa: Yook at it. Me: Did you take it off because it was wet? Alyssa: YOOK at it mom! (Clearly I didn't see what she was pointing at, and at this point I'm a little nervous as to what I might see if I turn it over) I turn it over to find ketchup on the front. Me: Oh! Did you drop your eggs on your diaper? Alyssa: Ya. Me: Ok, well next time you need your diaper off have mommy help ok? Alyssa: K. (But giving me the LOOK that says "Why? Obviously I can take care of this myself.") Oh Alyssa. I just LOVE you.

Time Out!

Picture this. Alyssa and I, chillin' in my bed, watching cartoons. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to be exact. She reaches over, gives me a little kiss on my cheek.

Alyssa: Yuv you mommy.
Mommy: I love you too sweetie.
Then SMACK! Out of no where, she pops me right in the face!
Alyssa: Uh-oh. Time out?
Mommy: Heck ya time out! Go sit on your bed my friend.
Alyssa: Ok
She jumps off my bed and heads to her room, where surely I thought she would be playing with her toys. Instead, I find this.
Funny little girl.

PERFECT WEATHER!!!

Easter Sunday had the PERFECT weather. To be honest I'm a little bitter about the SNOW that's we've been getting since then. But alas, we will focus on what a gorgeous day we had that was perfect for Alyssa's favorite past times.

One Heck of a Good Day

There are SO many reasons why I loved today. Allow me to share some with you.

Tim didn't have to work! It's the first Sunday in MONTHS that's he's been able to spend with us. Loved it!

It's Easter, which is an entire different post, just know it was THE best one EVER!

I received yet another e-mail from someone considering donating their kidney to Tim. At the end of her e-mail she let us know our family would be in her prayers... Over the last little while I've felt an overwhelming feeling of peace in this matter. I attribute that to the prayers of those who are thinking and praying for our little family during this time. Thank you.

As for my favorite part of today. We were in my grandma's back yard. I looked across the yard and saw this.
